  • In his address, PM Modi said that G20 Summit success is that of the entire country, not of one person alone or one party. “Today, you have unanimously appreciated the success of G20…I express my gratitude to you. The G20’s success is that of 140 crore citizens of the country. It’s India’s success,not that of an individual or a party…It is a matter for all of us to celebrate…”he said.
  • PM Narendra Modi further added this is the time to move forward while remembering the parliamentary journey of 75 years.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asserted, “Before Independence, the old Parliament was the place of the imperial legislative council. After Independence, it got the identity of ‘Sansad Bhawan’. While it is true that constructing this building was the decision of the foreign rulers, but we can never forget and can say it proudly that the sweat, hard work and money used in building it was of my countrymen.”
  • “The light of the first dawn of Amritkaal, a new faith in the nation, new confidence, new enthusiasm, new dreams, new resolutions and new strength of the nation is filling it,” he added in his speech.
  • “We might be going to the new Parliament, but the old building will continue to inspire the coming generations,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his speech in Lok Sabha on Monday.
  • In the speech, PM Modi appreciated the contributions of the former Prime Ministers for presenting their vision of India. “From Nehru to Shastri to Vajpayee,this Parliament has seen several leaders presenting their vision of India,”he said in Lok Sabha.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded the contribution of women MPs in strengthening the roots of parliamentary democracy in India. In his speech, PM Modi said, “Over 7,500 members have so far contributed to both Houses; about 600 women MPs have enhanced the dignity of both Houses.”
