Passport of India has secured the 82nd position in the most recent ranking, enabling its holders to travel visa-free to 58 countries, which include well-known destinations like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

India Ranks 82nd in Passport Index

India’s passport has been ranked 82nd on the latest Henley Passport Index, allowing its citizens visa-free access to 58 countries. This position ties India with nations like Senegal and Tajikistan. In contrast, Pakistan holds the 100th spot, providing passport holders with visa-free entry to 33 countries. At the bottom of the list is Afghanistan, with its passport allowing easy access to just 26 destinations. The Henley Passport Index bases its rankings on data meticulously compiled by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), renowned for its comprehensive global travel information database.

Singapore Tops Global Passport Rankings

Singapore holds the title for the world’s most powerful passport, granting its holders visa-free access to 195 countries. Tied in second place are France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, alongside Japan, offering passport holders access to 192 countries. In third place, Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden allow visa-free entry to 191 destinations each. This ranking, based on the latest list from the Henley Passport Index, reflects the global mobility and accessibility provided by these nations’ passports.
