United Airlines Unveils New Domestic First Class Seat

United Airlines revealed a new domestic first class seat this morning that will make its debut on a Boeing 737 this month and continue to be introduced throughout this summer. In addition to larger in-flight entertainment screens with Bluetooth connectivity and a small privacy divider between seats, the airline is offering wireless charging at every seat.

United Airlines ordered 270 aircraft in June 2021 for its United Next program, which includes 737 MAX and Airbus A321neo. The airline announced that first class seats will be feature in over 200 aircraft by 2026, including 737 NGs, A319s, and A320s.

The seats will feature new seat cushions and winged headrests. The first domestic first class seat will enter service later this month, and more will receive the retrofit this summer. The new seats offer wireless charging, USB-C, and 110V charging options, with the USB-A charger removed.

United Airlines has introduced new first class seats with 11×19-inch dividers, winged headrests, and tray tables to reduce passenger contact. The seats also offer additional privacy, with aisle armrests lowered for physically disabled passengers. The United Next program includes inflight entertainment screens on every seat back of narrowbody aircraft, with 13-inch screens and Bluetooth connectivity.

The larger tray table with a built-in tablet holder and laptop space is also include. The cocktail tables and bottle/cup holders in between the seats allow passengers to keep drinks away from electronic devices. The new United First seat is design for modern travelers, offering more charging options, larger spaces for devices, food, drinks, and personal items, and extra privacy.
