Tarique Rahman’s Swearing-In And India’s Representation

Earlier, Bangladesh’s interim government led by Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus invited Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony. However, he declined the invitation due to prior commitments in Mumbai with French President Emmanuel Macron. As a result, Birla represented India at the ceremony in Dhaka.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Riaz Hamidullah stated that Rahman conveyed greetings to India and Modi after taking oath. Both sides expressed optimism about future cooperation.
