Additionally, he announced the recent acquisition of four new supersonic nuclear-capable bombers by the Air Force. These statements followed Putin’s flight on a modernized Tu-160M nuclear-capable strategic bomber.

Putin Commemorates War Anniversary and Praises Soldiers in Ukraine
On the eve of the second anniversary of the commencement of the war in Ukraine, Russian leader Vladimir Putin commended soldiers involved in what he termed a “special military operation.” He hailed them as heroes dedicated to the pursuit of “truth and justice.” Additionally, he paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier near the Kremlin wall.
In his speech, Putin extensively highlighted the accomplishments of the military-industrial complex, emphasizing the continuous modernization of Russia’s nuclear triad — its strategic land, sea, and air nuclear capabilities. His overarching message conveyed that these capabilities are up to date, constantly undergoing modernization, and in excellent condition.
