K2 Airways Cargo Plane Missing: Search Operation Begins After

A K2 Airways cargo plane missing incident has triggered an emergency search near Karachi. The Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft was flying from Sharjah to Karachi on Tuesday night. The flight carried five crew members. According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the aircraft lost contact with air traffic controllers before it reached Karachi. Officials immediately launched a search and rescue operation after communication stopped.

The cargo flight, identified as KTA1732, reported a navigation system problem at around 9:18 PM Pakistan Standard Time. Air traffic controllers at the Karachi Area Control Centre quickly guided the aircraft. However, only a few minutes later, radar showed the aircraft descending rapidly. It also changed direction suddenly. Soon after, both radar contact and radio communication ended about 155 nautical miles west of Karachi.
