Indian Student Dies by Suicide in Texas Just Four Months Into Job Search After Completing US Master’s Degree

A Hyderabad student, Sai Pradeep, died by suicide in San Antonio, Texas, on August 21, after reportedly struggling with stress related to his job search. Pradeep had moved to the United States in 2024 to pursue higher education. He recently completed his master’s degree in computer science from the Anderson University College of Business in South Carolina. His death has left his family and friends deeply saddened. They described him as a determined and kind-hearted person.

Family Launches Fundraiser to Repatriate His Body

Sai Pradeep, affectionately known as Deepu, had reportedly been searching for a job for around four months. His family and friends said the prolonged search had caused him immense stress. He had earlier worked at Amazon in Hyderabad, according to his LinkedIn profile. During his time in the United States, he also learned Spanish. His cousin remembered him as a person full of warmth, strength and determination.

His family said Deepu faced several health challenges from an early age but never allowed them to define his life. He worked hard to improve his health and fitness and inspired many people through his dedication. He spent countless hours working on himself and remained committed to his goals. His discipline and consistency helped him transform his life. His loved ones said they would always remember his positive energy and strong spirit.

Hyderabad Student Dies by Suicide in Texas

Following his death, his cousin, Deepthi, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for bringing his body back to India. According to the fundraiser, Pradeep’s parents partly depended on their children for support. The family has appealed to people to contribute during this difficult time.
