On Tuesday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had a “substantive discussion” with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding bilateral relations, strengthening collaboration on international platforms, and implementing the “Peace Formula.” He expressed his gratitude for the “clear support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Zelenskyy and Modi Hold Third Bilateral Meeting to Strengthen Cooperation
“This marks the third bilateral meeting this year with India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. We are actively advancing our relations and collaborating to boost cooperation in various sectors. Our discussion primarily focused on enhancing engagement on international platforms, particularly within the UN and G20, as well as implementing the Peace Formula and preparing for the second Peace Summit. We had a productive conversation about the available opportunities. I appreciate the clear support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Zelenskyy shared on X after meeting PM Modi in the United States.
PM Modi Reaffirms India’s Commitment to Peace in Ukraine
Concluding his three-day visit to the United States, PM Modi reiterated India’s support for a swift resolution to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. “Met President @ZelenskyyUa in New York. We remain committed to implementing the outcomes of my Ukraine visit last month to further strengthen bilateral relations. I reaffirmed India’s support for the early resolution of the conflict and the restoration of peace and stability,” Modi shared on X.

Modi’s Visit to Ukraine and Quad Summit Highlight Strengthening Partnerships
A joint statement following PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine emphasized both leaders’ mutual interest in advancing bilateral ties, with the goal of elevating their relationship from a comprehensive partnership to a strategic one. During his US trip, Modi also participated in the Quad summit. The group, formed to counter China’s growing influence in the Indo-Pacific, reiterated their commitment to upholding international law and respecting the principles of the UN Charter, including territorial integrity, sovereignty of all nations, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
