Heavy rain on Sunday night caused water leakage inside the well-known multiplex theater, PVR located at Hyderabad Central, resulting in disruptions to the screening of the latest movie, Kalki 2898 AD.
According to reports, tensions heightened between the audience and PVR theater staff when the movie paused due to the incident. Moviegoers raised safety concerns, questioning the management’s responsibility regarding potential risks like a short circuit or accidents.

Allegations of Negligence and Safety Concerns Raised by Patrons at PVR
The heavy rainfall was sufficient to expose the vulnerabilities of this dilapidated and poorly maintained building and theater. It poses a public hazard, especially given it is right opposite Panjagutta police station, and should be reported promptly.
Alleging negligence, some patrons confronted the theater management, demanding clarity on safety measures and responsibility.
The situation intensified with management reportedly urging dissatisfied viewers to leave, prompting some to contact law enforcement authorities for intervention.
Hyderabad witnessed sudden downpours accompanied by gusty winds, severely affecting daily life across the city.
