Continuous rain likely as successive systems affect India this week

A weak western disturbance will influence weather conditions on Monday, March 23, especially across India Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, and Chandigarh. The system will bring increased cloud cover along with light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas. Weather activity will remain limited but noticeable through the day.

Multiple weak western disturbances will keep rainfall activity continuing across north India over the coming days.. These systems will bring intermittent cloudiness, light rain spells, and fluctuating temperatures. Overall, the weather will remain unstable rather than settling into a clear pattern.

According to meteorological experts, these disturbances will arrive one after another, preventing any long-lasting stable conditions. Although weaker than recent systems, their continuous movement will keep atmospheric conditions active. Residents may experience frequent shifts between sunny and cloudy skies.

Back-to-back systems to keep north India cloudy with light rain

On March 23, cloudy conditions are likely to persist from morning until evening, with scattered rainfall in select pockets. However, rain will not be widespread, and nearly 60–70% of the region will remain dry, with rainfall affecting only isolated locations.

In the Himalayan belt, the same system may trigger light snowfall across parts of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The snowfall will remain mild but may cause a temporary dip in temperatures at higher altitudes. Cooler conditions may prevail in these areas.

A brief period of dry and clear weather is likely between March 24 and 25, offering short-lived relief. However, another weak western disturbance will approach around March 26.This will once again increase cloud cover and bring chances of light precipitation in isolated regions.

While the overall impact of these systems remains mild, continuous weather fluctuations may affect health. Sudden changes in temperature can lead to seasonal illnesses like cold and flu. Authorities advise residents to stay cautious, especially during early mornings and late evenings when temperatures may drop.
