Delhi Fog Disruptions: 100+ flights delayed, 26 trains affected.

Fog Disruptions: Delhi Airport and Airlines Warn Passengers

Delhi Airport warned passengers about disruptions due to dense fog. The advisory, shared on Delhi International Airport Limited’s (DIAL) official X account, stated, “Landings and take-offs continue, but flights lacking CAT III compliance may face delays.”

The airport urged passengers to contact airlines for updated flight details and expressed regret for any inconvenience. The CAT III system enables flights to operate safely during low visibility.

IndiGo alerted passengers about potential delays, saying, “Fog in Delhi may cause delays. We are monitoring closely to ensure safe and smooth travel.” The airline encouraged travelers to check flight status on their website or app and reassured them of continuous assistance.

Meanwhile, visuals from Dhaula Kuan, India Gate, Nirankari Colony, and Shankar Vihar showcased the heavy fog disrupting visibility on the roads.

Dense Conditions Expected in Delhi-NCR and Neighboring Regions

The weather office predicted light winds from the southeast at less than 4 kmph in the morning. Increasing later in the day before easing in the evening. Shallow fog or smog is expected in Delhi-NCR during the evening and night, according to the IMD.

Nearby regions, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Are also forecasted to experience dense to very dense fog over the next 2-3 days.
