Pakistan security forces killed 145 militants during large-scale operations launched after coordinated attacks swept across Balochistan. The violence erupted almost simultaneously in multiple districts, intensifying security concerns in the restive province. Authorities said the attacks targeted both civilians and law enforcement personnel.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said the security forces carried out raids and combing operations over nearly 40 hours. He stated that the militant death toll marked the highest number since Pakistan’s ongoing war on terror began. Bugti shared the details during a press conference in the provincial capital, Quetta.

Security forces launched large-scale combing operations across Balochistan following recent militant strikes.
Officials confirmed that the wave of attacks killed 17 law enforcement personnel and 31 civilians. Militants struck areas including Quetta, Gwadar, Mastung and Noshki, spreading fear across the region. Security agencies responded with coordinated action to prevent further assaults.
The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attacks, prompting an intensified crackdown. The army, police and counterterrorism units jointly led the operations across affected districts. The incidents have further heightened tensions amid ongoing regional security challenges.
