Afghanistan: ISIS claims responsibility for Kabul blast, toll rises to 31

The death toll in the terrorist attack on a training center and school in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Wednesday has risen to 31. At present 87 people are being treated in different hospitals.

The condition of many of the injured is still critical. Therefore, the death toll is expected to increase further.

The terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. In the past, the Islamic State (ISIS) has carried out attacks at several places in Afghanistan, including Kabul.

The Taliban have been claiming that they have secured the country since taking power in August last year, but international agencies and analysts have been questioning the Taliban’s claim.

International analysts say terrorism remains at risk of re-emergence in Afghanistan and the Islamic State (ISIS) militant group has claimed responsibility for several major attacks.

The blast took place inside Abdul Rahim Shaheed High School and near Mumtaz Education Center in Dasht-e-Barchi, a Shia-dominated area in Kabul.

According to eyewitnesses, a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the school. The children were inside the class when the terrorists attacked the school. More than 1000 students study in the school.
