Scammers utilize the URL ‘Offence of Money-Laundering’ to steal personal data and financial details.
The website, appearing official, outlines the offense and prompts users to provide information. The scammers request information like bank name, phone number, PAN, online banking credentials, and card passwords.
This deceptive site poses a threat to user privacy and security. Users must be cautious and avoid sharing sensitive information on such platforms.

“Any visitor on the above URLs is strongly advised not to share and divulge any personal and confidential information, as the same shall enable the perpetrators to steal the information. Please note that the Registry, Supreme Court of India, will never ask for personal information, financial details or other confidential information,” the advisory states.
The registry reported that India’s Supreme Court alerted law enforcement to investigate and hold accountable those behind the phishing attack.
The caution emphasized the authentic domain www.sci.gov.in for India’s Supreme Court and advised verifying URLs prior to clicking.
“In case you have been a victim of the above phishing attack, please change your passwords for all your online accounts and also contact your bank and credit card company to report such unauthorised access,” it states.
