Launch of the JioBook laptop by Reliance Jio for Rs 16,499

The brand-new JioBook laptop was presented in India on Monday by telecom behemoth Reliance Jio. Additionally, compared to its predecessor, which was released to the market in October 2022, it is unquestionably lighter and more sophisticated. This recently released JioBook is centered on education for people of all ages.

Our most recent product, the brand-new JioBook, caters to learners of all ages with its cutting-edge features and flexible networking possibilities. According to a Reliance Retail spokeswoman, JioBook would “revolutionize the way people learn, creating new opportunities for personal growth and skill development.”

The laptop has a matte appearance and weighs 990 grams, barely under one kilogram. It has an infinite keyboard, a sizable trackpad, and an 11.6-inch LED display. A 2MP webcam for video calls and other purposes is also included.

There are two USB 2.0 ports, one mini-HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack for communication. With this smartphone, connectivity options include Dual Band Wi-Fi and a 4G LTE SIM. Jio guarantees a seamless transition from Wi-Fi to SIM.

A 2.0 GHz Octa Core processor and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM power the gadget. Additionally, the JioBook guarantees more than eight hours of battery life on a single charge. With the use of a micro-SD card, its internal capacity of 64 GB may be increased to 256 GB.

JioBook runs on JioOS

It is powered by JioOS, an operating system created with consumers’ ease and comfort in mind. JioOS has a user-friendly interface, multi-tasking displays, and transparency control for the screen, among other things. There are more than 75 keyboard shortcuts, and the trackpad has both a right-click menu and a multi-gesture feature. JioTV, which offers educational content in the form of videos, JioCloud Gaming, which offers popular games, and JioBIAN Ready, a linux-based coding environment for learning and developing in languages like C/C++, Java, Python, and Pearl are some of the built-in features on JioOS that can improve learning and entertainment experiences. From the JioStore, you can also download a number of other applications.

It is priced at Rs. 16,499. Pre-orders for the device open at 12.30 pm on July 31 and the sale starts on August 5. It will be available for purchase from Jio Mart, Reliance Digital and Amazon.in. As an introductory offer, customers can also get a 100 GB cloud storage for 12 months, a premium laptop carry case and a Quick Heal Security & Parental Control for 12 months with the purchase.

Interestingly just a month ago, Jio launched a phone which is uniquely positioned to accelerate Reliance Jio’s 2G Mukt Bharat vision.
