PM Modi and Bill Gates Highlight Indians Leading from AI to UPI

During their conversation at the Prime Minister’s residence, PM Modi and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates covered diverse topics ranging from Artificial Intelligence to Digital Public Infrastructure and climate change mitigation efforts. Gates commended Indians for their rapid adoption of technology and leading in this regard. Additionally, PM Modi encouraged Gates to take a selfie using the Photo Booth feature on the PM’s Namo App.

PM Modi and Bill Gates Discuss 2023 G20 Summit Leading in Technology

Reflecting on the 2023 G20 Summit held during India’s presidency, PM Modi noted, “Prior to the Summit, we engaged in thorough discussions, and as evident from the Summit’s proceedings, it underwent various shifts. I am confident that we have successfully aligned with the core purposes and objectives of the G20, integrating them into the mainstream. I trust that your direct involvement resonates with this perspective.

Bill Gates replied, “The G20’s increased inclusivity, particularly with India hosting, is remarkable. It has emphasized digital innovations and highlighted how south-south collaboration can extend beyond mere dialogue with the north. Our foundation is genuinely enthusiastic about the significant achievements India has made, and we are committed to partnering to replicate these successes in numerous other countries.

Speaking about the digital revolution in India, PM Modi remarked, At the G20 Summit in Indonesia, delegates from various nations expressed interest in India’s digital transformation. I clarified that we have democratized technology to prevent monopolies. Our approach is driven by the people, for the people.
