ICTRD CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH PATRIOTIC SPIRIT AND ENTHUSIASM

The Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD) proudly hosted a grand celebration of the 79th Independence Day at its headquarters. Members, dignitaries, and staff gathered to honor the spirit of freedom and reaffirm their commitment to driving national development through innovation and research.

The celebration began with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Dr. Ketan Mohitkar, Member Secretary of ICTRD. As he unfurled the tricolor, attendees joined in singing the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and unity. The event welcomed esteemed Guests of Honour—Dr. Yogesh Bonde, Governing Body Member, and Hemant Niwalkar, Water Conservation Officer—whose presence added to the occasion’s significance. ICTRD honored both the Member Secretary and the Guests of Honour for their valuable contributions to society and the institution.

Urja Kurve, Administrative Officer at ICTRD, formally opened the program with a warm welcome address. She highlighted the importance of Independence Day and emphasized ICTRD’s role in shaping the nation’s future through education, technology, and social initiatives. Dr. Yogesh Bonde then delivered an inspiring speech, urging everyone to channel their efforts into nation-building through ICTRD’s mission of technical innovation and social responsibility. Several ICTRD team members also shared their thoughts, deepening the patriotic spirit and engagement of the gathering.

Nirzara Bende hosted the program and ensured its smooth and seamless flow. Piyush Dani delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries, team members, and participants for their efforts in making the event both successful and memorable.

To add vibrancy to the celebration, the organizers arranged fun games and interactive activities that fostered camaraderie and joy among the attendees. The program concluded with refreshments, leaving everyone with lasting memories of the day.
