Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reacts after Sachin Tendulkar praises his batting

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced one of the most explosive innings in IPL playoff history against Sunrisers Hyderabad and once again proved that pressure only brings out the best in him. The 15-year-old batter smashed a breathtaking 97 runs off just 29 balls in the high-pressure eliminator and missed the record for the fastest IPL century by only three runs. He dominated the SRH bowling attack from the very beginning and hammered 12 massive sixes during his stunning knock. His fearless batting completely changed the momentum of the match and turned the eliminator into a one-sided contest within a few overs.

Sooryavanshi’s remarkable innings impressed several cricket legends, including ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar praised the teenager on X and admired his fearless approach at the crease. The batting legend highlighted Sooryavanshi’s outstanding bat swing and appreciated the way he creates room against deliveries aimed at his body. Tendulkar said the young batter plays with complete freedom and confidence, which allows him to dominate bowlers so effectively. He described the innings as absolutely spectacular and one of the standout knocks of the season.

Interestingly, Sooryavanshi did not immediately know about Tendulkar’s praise. During a light-hearted conversation with teammate Dhruv Jurel for the IPL website, someone informed him about the legendary batter’s post. The teenager looked surprised and admitted that receiving appreciation from Tendulkar felt like a dream moment for him. He said the compliment became even more special because he considers Tendulkar the “God of Cricket.”

Tendulkar’s Praise Boosts Sooryavanshi’s Confidence

Apart from his memorable innings against Hyderabad, Sooryavanshi has dominated the tournament throughout the season with fearless and attacking batting. He currently leads the Orange Cap race after scoring 680 runs in 15 innings. The young batter has maintained an impressive average of 45.33 while striking at an extraordinary rate of 242.85. His aggressive intent and ability to clear boundaries consistently have made him one of the biggest attractions of the IPL season.
