Shreyas Iyer yearning to bowl for India, reveals physio’s warning after back surgery

Indian cricket player Shreyas Iyer disclosed that, despite his great desire to contribute with the ball for his country, the strength and conditioning coaches have advised him to be restricted after back surgery.

Due to his back surgery earlier this year, the 28-year-old batsman has been unable to bowl, which has hindered him from making the kind of progress he had intended to make.

In his limited overs bowling experience in international cricket, Shreyas Iyer has not made a significant impact thus far in his career. Nevertheless, he has ten wickets in T20, List A, and first-class cricket, demonstrating his ability as an all-rounder.

Shreyas Iyer’s skill with the bat was on display during the fifth and final Twenty20 International match between India and Australia at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. He contributed to India’s total of 160/8 while batting at No. 3, scoring an impressive 53 runs off 37 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
