Shortly after the disheartening loss in the 2023 World Cup final to Australia, India faces a swift turnaround, gearing up for a five-match series against the same opponents in the shortest format of the game.
The first match will be played in Vishakhapatnam on November 23, followed by four more games, in Thiruvananthapuram (November 26), Guwahati (November 28), Raipur (December 1), and Bengaluru (December 3).

India squad for Australia T20Is
India have announced their squad today (November 20), a day after the World Cup final. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the captain with none of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, or Hardik Pandya being picked.
While Rohit and Rahul are coming off long World Cup campaigns, Pandya is yet to recover fully from the injury he sustained during the World Cup.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named as Yadav’ deputy for the first three matches, while Shreyas Iyer will take over the role for the last two T20Is, for which he will be available.
Only four players, including Iyer who will only be available for the last two matches, from the World Cup squad have been selected for the T20I series.
