Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2024 campaign on Sunday, March 24th
According to a source from the BCCI, there’s a possibility that the NCA medical team won’t approve Surya’s participation in the first two matches of this year’s IPL due to concerns about his fitness. Suryakumar Yadav is a crucial player in India’s T20 squad, boasting an impressive strike rate of over 171 and accumulating 2,141 runs in 60 T20 matches. He has achieved the remarkable feat of scoring four centuries in T20 internationals. Additionally, he demonstrated his leadership abilities by guiding India to a series victory against Australia in T20Is on home soil following the ODI World Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav’s Rehab Progressing Well, but Doubtful for First Two Games
According to a BCCI source speaking to PTI anonymously, Suryakumar Yadav’s rehabilitation is progressing well, and he is expected to make a comeback during the IPL season. However, there’s uncertainty regarding his clearance to play in the first two away games against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27. While Suryakumar has been actively sharing his Strength and Conditioning (S&C) routines on Instagram, he hasn’t posted any batting videos yet, which would provide a clearer insight into his readiness. Suryakumar’s last competitive match was a T20I against South Africa on December 14, and he missed the DY Patil T20 Cup, where Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan made their returns.
