Axar Patel’s availability for the first two ODIs against Australia is in doubt.

India outplayed Sri Lanka in the title clash in Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium as the Indian team restricted the co-hosts to a below-par total of 50 runs thanks to Mohammed Siraj’s fiery spell of 6/21.

India’s lowest successful chase in ODI history and fifth overall in the fifty over format was achieved by the pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill as they easily reached the necessary score of 51 in just 6.1 overs as a reply.

After winning the Asia Cup, Rohit and company began making their final preparations for the ODI World Cup 2023, which they will begin on October 8 against Australia.
