While avoiding labeling it as a serious injury, Rickelton expressed confidence that Pandya will rejoin the squad soon as they prepare to travel to Raipur.

In Pandya’s absence, Suryakumar Yadav stepped up to lead the side as stand-in captain. At the toss, he confirmed Pandya’s unavailability, stating that the skipper was unwell and that he would take over leadership duties for the match. The franchise also officially announced that Pandya missed the game due to a back spasm, reinforcing the reason behind his absence.
