New Zealand outclass India by 50 runs to stay alive in T20I series

After India opted to field first, New Zealand came out with clear intent. Tim Seifert led the charge with a blistering 62 off 36 balls as the visitors raced to 71 without loss in the Powerplay. While India pulled things back briefly in the middle overs, Daryl Mitchell’s late acceleration pushed New Zealand to a daunting 215. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh managed wickets, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the flow of runs.

Indian chase falters early despite Dube’s fight

India’s reply never gained momentum. Abhishek Sharma departed for a golden duck, and the top order failed to settle against disciplined bowling. Sanju Samson fell cheaply again, while Rinku Singh showed some promise in the middle. Shivam Dube stood tall with a scintillating 65 off just 23 balls, but he received little support as wickets kept tumbling around him.

Mitchell Santner led from the front with three wickets, while the pacers chipped in at crucial moments to keep India under constant pressure. Once Dube was dismissed, New Zealand wrapped up the innings swiftly to seal a morale-boosting win.
