The video, shared on social media, is thought to be from the Argentinian side’s eventual loss on penalties to Corinthians in the Libertadores on Wednesday, with the video being viewed 2.5m times already. The frightening nine-second video shows the upper tier of the stand behind one of the goals physically split beneath the feet of supporters as they sing and chant, with one side rocking up and down.
The stadiu is known for its hosting some of the most exciting. Sometimes scariest, fan displays in the world, looks as though it may be on its last legs. The 82-year-old ground based in Buenos Aires is so important to the area. It’s even been declared as public interest to the government in Argentina. Repair work surely to be looked into as the video continues to do the rounds.
Boca Juniors is one of the biggest clubs in Argentina. It has seen the likes of Pele and Diego Maradonna play at their stadium as the La Bombonera is cemented in the history of the sport. The last time the stadium underwent any refurbishment was back in 199. The fans on social media call for it to be looked into.
