Asaduddin Owaisi slams Uttarakhand’s Uniform Civil Code bill

It is asserted by Asaduddin Owaisi that labeling it as uniform is inappropriate if the tribal population is excluded from the code. In response to the introduction of the Uniform Civil Code bill in Uttarakhand, He alleged that the bill provides exemptions to Hindus and tribals. Owaisi further claimed that the code imposes a different religion and culture on Muslims, thereby violating the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his criticism of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill, stating that it essentially functions as a Hindu Code applicable to all. He questioned the exclusion of Hindu undivided family from the bill, emphasizing the contradiction in aiming for a uniform law on succession and inheritance while keeping Hindus out of its purview.
