Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, avoided the sixth summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) related to the excise policy-linked money laundering case. Kejriwal stated that he is cooperating with the investigative agency and suggested that the ED should refrain from issuing new summons until the court delivers its judgment. “We are providing them with responses according to the law. ED should await the court’s verdict before issuing any further summons,” Kejriwal informed reporters.

ED Set to Issue New Summons to AAP Supremo; Kejriwal Faces Charges for Non-Compliance
Enforcement Directorate (ED) sources indicate the issuance of fresh summons to AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. The agency has filed a complaint under IPC Section 174 against Kejriwal for willfully disobeying the initial three summons. A local court has found the AAP convenor prima facie guilty of “disobeying” previous notices in the excise policy case, prompting the seventh summons. Last week, a Delhi court granted Kejriwal exemption for the day but scheduled the matter for March 16, with assurance from Kejriwal’s counsel about his physical appearance on that day.
