Rahul Gandhi Criticizes RSS and BJP’s Role in January 22 Function
During a briefing in Nagaland’s capital Kohima as part of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi expressed his disapproval of the 22nd January function, stating that the RSS and BJP have turned it into a political event centered around Narendra Modi. He emphasized the Congress’s inclusive approach, contrasting it with the perceived exclusivity of the mentioned function.

Rahul Gandhi highlighted that even prominent figures in the Hindu religion have publicly expressed that the January 22nd function is politically oriented. Consequently, he found it challenging to attend an event shaped around the Prime Minister and the RSS.
Congress Refuses Invitation for Temple Ceremony, Alleges Political Motives
In response to the invitation for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, Congress, led by Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, declined participation. The party accused the BJP and RSS of advancing the incomplete temple’s inauguration for electoral advantages, emphasizing political motives behind the event.
