PM Modi at Maha Kumbh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrive in Prayagraj. And is set to take a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam At 11 AM during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.
The city is on high alert ahead of PM Modi’s visit. As thousands of devotees continue to take holy dips in the Sangam around the clock. The Prime Minister will also offer prayers at the temple housing the reclining idol of Lord Hanuman and visit ‘Akshayvat’.
Reports suggest that Prime Minister Modi will spend around two hours in the city. A heightened security alert has been issue in the Arail area. And officials in charge of five Mela zones have been deploye for his visit. The Maha Kumbh festival site has been divide into five key areas: Jhunsi, Parade, Sangam, Teliyarganj, and Arail.

The last time PM Narendra Modi had come to Prayagraj was on December 13, 2024. When he had laid the foundation stone of 167 projects worth Rs 5,500.
Why Was February 5 Chosen For PM Modi’s Holy Dip?
• While traditionally auspicious days like Basant Panchami and Mauni Amavasya are commonly chosen for holy baths during the Kumbh, February 5 stands out for its unique spiritual importance. This date coincides with Magh Ashtami, an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar known for its significance in penance, devotion, and acts of charity.
• According to local reports, the areas where PM Modi will visit has been take over by National Security Guard (NSG). Magistrates and a large number of police force, PAC and RAF personnel have been deploye. Security has been beefe up at the Ganga ghats. Those going towards Kumbh Nagari are being thoroughly checke.
• Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present alongside Modi like he was present during the recent visit to the Mahakumbh by Home Minister Amit Shah, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar, and the Bhutan King.
• Besides, several ministers of the state government will also accompany the prime minister. Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that all preparations for PM’s program have been complete. “Five magistrates and a large number of police forces have been deploye. The Prime Minister will worship Maa Ganga after taking a bath in Sangam,” he added.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that, in keeping with his dedication to preserving and promoting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, PM Modi has consistently taken proactive measures to improve infrastructure and amenities at pilgrimage sites.
