Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party, will resume his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district on February 11 after a brief hiatus.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, alleging that Modi falsely claimed to be born in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category when he actually belongs to the general caste. Gandhi asserted that PM Modi would never initiate a caste census in the country. During a rally in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district as part of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Gandhi stated, “Narendra Modi was not born as OBC. You are being made a fool of. Modi was born in the Teli caste in Gujarat. The BJP government designated his community as OBC in 2000.”

During his address, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Modi of dishonesty regarding his birth, stating that there is no need for a birth certificate to prove that Modi was not born in the Other Backward Class (OBC). Gandhi highlighted the Prime Minister’s alleged lack of engagement with OBCs, claiming that Modi never embraces or interacts with them, laborers, or farmers. Instead, he asserted, Modi only associates with industrialist Adani.
