Nitish Kumar condemned the incident and instructed the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) to visit the location.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday after a group burned the homes of numerous Dalit people in Nawada, stating that the JD(U) leader has failed as CM. He claimed there is now law and order in the state under Kumar.
“This is very wrong. There is no law and order in Bihar. Nitish Kumar has failed,” Kumar stated, expressing frustration over the state’s deteriorating security and the government’s failure to maintain peace.

In response to Jitan Ram Manjhi’s claim that 90 percent of those arrested were RJD supporters from a specific caste, Lalu Prasad Yadav countered that Manjhi is completely misled. He criticized Manjhi’s comments as attempts to distort the truth and divert attention from real issues.
“Jitan Ram Manjhi is completely misled and tries to mislead the public,” he stated, emphasizing the need for accurate information. Yadav vowed to investigate the Nawada situation to ensure justice for those affected.

Nitish Kumar condemned the incident
Nawada District Magistrate Ashutosh Kumar Verma told PTI that police arrested 15 individuals for allegedly setting the houses on fire. Authorities established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for further investigation, and ongoing searches aim to find any remaining suspects.
