Leave: A tense situation unfolded in Mumbai as a frustrated commuter directly confronted a state minister and police officials after a political rally caused massive traffic congestion in the Worli area.
A woman driver, who was heading to pick up her child from school, got stuck in heavy traffic for hours due to the rally. As frustration grew, she stepped out of her vehicle, walked into the middle of the protest, and openly challenged those responsible. She raised her voice, questioned the disruption, and repeatedly shouted for the crowd to “Leave” the road and restore normal traffic flow.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, under the Mahayuti alliance, organised the protest march and gathered a large number of participants, especially women, who raised slogans against opposition parties. However, delays in starting the rally worsened congestion and affected daily commuters across the area.
Leave Confrontation Targets Minister and Police
Leave protest intensified when the woman approached Girish Mahajan and questioned him about the inconvenience caused to the public. She pointed toward a nearby open ground and suggested that organisers should have used that space instead of blocking busy roads.
At the same time, she also confronted police officers who tried to manage the situation. She demanded accountability, insisted on speaking to senior officials, and strongly criticised the handling of traffic arrangements. Her actions reflected the frustration many citizens feel when large gatherings disrupt daily life.
Police officers later guided her to the side of the road and listened to her concerns in an attempt to calm the situation. Despite their intervention, the confrontation had already attracted attention from people at the scene.

Leave Incident Sparks Online Debate
Leave moment quickly spread across social media after videos of the confrontation went viral. Many users supported her bold reaction and argued that authorities should minimise public inconvenience during political events. Meanwhile, others questioned whether such direct confrontations were appropriate.
The incident has reignited a broader discussion about balancing the right to protest with the responsibility to maintain public convenience. It also raises an important question for city authorities: should stricter rules regulate rallies to prevent disruption in busy urban areas like Mumbai?
