JSP chief and actor turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, revealed that he had appealed to the central leaders of the BJP to finalise the alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-JSP coalition in Andhra Pradesh for the upcoming concurrent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He expressed that these endeavours have been a source of considerable mental distress for him.
Concerns Is The Uneasy Collaboration of The JSP With The TDP Led By Chandrababu Naidu
With just a month and a half remaining until the polls, Kalyan’s distress might endure further as the BJP has not yet made a decision regarding the alliance. What adds to his concerns is the uneasy collaboration of the Jana Sena Party (JSP) with the TDP led by N Chandrababu Naidu. This partnership was officially declared in September last year, during Naidu’s incarceration in connection with the alleged Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation scam.

Leaders from both coalition partners have consistently missed coordination committee meetings and, on some occasions, engaged in physical altercations. Furthermore, both parties independently declared two candidates each for the upcoming Assembly polls.
Kalyan Accused Naidu Of Not Adhering To The Principles Of Coalition
On January 26, Kalyan accused Naidu of not adhering to the principles of coalition when the TDP leader declared candidates for the Mandapeta and Araku Assembly seats without consulting the JSP. In response, Kalyan announced that his party would contest the Razole and Rajanagaram Assembly seats.

Despite Naidu and Kalyan emphasizing the alliance as a necessity for the state’s benefit, sources indicate that the allocation of seats between their parties is becoming more complex, particularly in the two Godavari districts – East and West.
