PM of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth, expressed gratitude to his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, for revitalizing the relationship between the two nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mr. Jugnauth jointly launched six community development projects in Mauritius today through a video conference.

The Prime Minister of Mauritius remarked, “Today, we are creating history on the Islands of Agalega with the inauguration of a new airstrip, a new jetty, and several other development projects. This occasion signifies another significant milestone in the exceptional and exemplary partnership between Mauritius and India.”
Expressing Gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for His Efforts Towards Mauritius
Mr. Jugnauth highlighted that the establishment of the new airstrip and St. James Jetty in Agalega represents the realisation of a long-standing Mauritian aspiration cherished by generations.
He acknowledged, “The fulfilment of this dream was made possible thanks to the support of India, which has fully funded these infrastructure projects.

Conveying his appreciation for PM Modi’s endeavors in benefitting Mauritius during his tenure, Mr. Jugnauth expressed, “Modi Ji, I want to extend heartfelt thanks on behalf of the government and the people of Mauritius for the exceptional attention you have dedicated to our nation since taking on the role of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India.
He continued, “With your inspiring leadership and statesmanship resonating globally, the people of India and the Indian community have firmly positioned themselves as a prominent force embodying values, knowledge, and success. Presently, the residents of Agalega take immense pride in the ongoing developments on the island.”
