A funny interaction between an Indian man and Donald Trump’s automated X post has entertained social media users.
An Indian man’s funny tweet with former President Donald Trump on X has amused users. Trump’s official account tagged him in a post urging him to vote in the upcoming November elections.
The automated post on X sends messages to random users urging them to support Trump and vote. Many users outside the U.S. reported receiving the same message from the Trump campaign.
“I’ll send you crucial election updates for North Carolina. Be ready to vote for Donald J. Trump by November 5th,” the post stated.
In a humorous reply, the man declared he wouldn’t vote in the U.S. elections: “Thanks, but you and Kamala Harris will never be my President. I’m from India.” His response has gone viral.

How internet reacted to the Tweet
The post has received over 41,000 views within hours, attracting comments from confused Indian users asking why it targeted an Indian citizen for the U.S. elections. Most, however, just laughed at the bizarre mix-up.
“Donald Trump has partnered with Elon Musk to send these unsolicited campaign messages. It’s common in India, but I never thought the U.S. would do the same,” speculated one user.
“Wow! It’s an honor that a former and potentially future U.S. President has reached out to you,” commented another user.
The 77-year-old Republican nominee will compete against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, an Indian-American and current U.S. Vice President. Trump lost his last bid for the White House in 2020 to Joe Biden.
