The Election Commission has declared the schedule for the election of 56 Rajya Sabha seats across 15 states. The Election Commission revealed on Monday (January 29) the election date for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states. The polling is scheduled for February 27, and the results will be tallied on the same day. The tenure of these 56 members is set to conclude upon their retirement in April 2024.

Key Dates for Rajya Sabha Elections Unveiled by Election Commission
As per the Election Commission’s communication, the nomination process for the Rajya Sabha elections is set to commence on February 8. The deadline for submitting nominations is February 15, with scrutiny scheduled for February 16. February 20 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Voting is scheduled for February 27, taking place from 9 am to 4 pm, followed by the counting of votes at 5 pm on the same day.
