Delhi CM expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for its ruling that affirmed AAP-Congress candidate Kuldeep Kumar as the legitimately elected Mayor of Chandigarh. Kejriwal posted on social media, stating, “Thank you, Supreme Court, for safeguarding democracy in these challenging times.

Delhi CM’s The AAP secured a significant triumph

The Aam Aadmi Party secured a significant triumph as the Supreme Court ruled that 8 votes initially deemed ‘invalid’ should now be recognized as valid. The court also instructed the issuance of a show cause notice to the returning officer, Anil Masih. These 8 votes, which were in favor of AAP candidate Kumar, had been marked as invalid by Masih.

The AAP leader extended congratulations to Kumar on behalf of the INDIA alliance in a subsequent statement, emphasizing the importance of upholding neutrality in a democracy. He expressed, “This achievement was made possible solely through the Indian democratic process and the Honorable Supreme Court. It is imperative that we safeguard the impartiality of our democracy and autonomous institutions at all costs.”

Kejriwal Said They Can Manipulate 90 Crore Votes Also

Addressing a press conference post the verdict, Kejriwal asserted that the triumph served as a response to those who believed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was invincible. Criticizing the ruling BJP, he stated, “Consider this, if they can manipulate just 8 votes in a small-scale election, imagine what they can do when 90 crore votes are at stake.” He went on to emphasize, “This proves that these individuals don’t win elections; they manipulate them.”
