Sukhbir Badal Performs ‘Sewa’ at Takht Kesgarh Sahib After Attack

A day after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal carried out ‘sewa’ duties at Takht Kesgarh Sahib in Punjab’s Rupnagar district on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Amid tight security, the former Deputy Chief Minister demonstrated his dedication by serving as a ‘sewadar’ at the historic gurdwara.

Mr. Badal, who holds Z+ security protection, arrived at the Anandpur Sahib shrine surrounded by a strong security contingent. Donning the traditional blue ‘sewadar’ attire, he was seen seated at the entrance of the gurdwara, holding a spear in one hand, embodying both service and vigilance. This act of devotion came as a powerful statement of resilience and faith following the life-threatening incident.
