Rahul Gandhi Accuses Assam CM, Faces Police Case Over Yatra Disruption

In interactions with the media today, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is benefiting from the actions of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Emphasizing CM Sarma’s alleged corruption, he declared him as the “most corrupt CM” in the country, making the Yatra a focal point in Assam. Earlier, Assam CM directed the state police to file a case against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly provoking the crowd when the Yatra faced obstruction in Joarabat, leading to protests by Congress workers. The Assam CM accused Rahul Gandhi of unruly behavior and violating agreed-upon guidelines, resulting in a significant traffic jam in Guwahati.

Rahul Gandhi Engages in NECC Meeting, Continues Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi participated actively in a meeting of the North East Coordination Committee (NECC) held at Queens Hotel, located on the Meghalaya-Assam border. He is slated to have a meeting with civil society members in Guwahati today. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra resumed its journey from Queens Hotel at around 10 am.
