Today, Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the Central government will implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, emphasizing that no opposition can impede its execution.
Speaking at a significant rally to kick off the party’s Lok Sabha campaign, Shah strongly criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on issues such as appeasement, infiltration, corruption, and political violence. He urged the public to oust her government and choose the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls. Shah commended the rally’s impressive turnout, interpreting it as a reflection of the people’s sentiments, and confidently predicted the BJP’s victory with a two-thirds majority in the state in 2026.
The BJP’s performance in the state in the 2024-Lok-Sabha-polls will create the foundation of its win in the assembly-polls,he said.

The party had won 18, its highest ever, of the state’s 42 seats in 2019.
