Chirag Paswan, the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has taken a firm stand against the Supreme Court’s decision. Expressing his party’s discontent, Paswan announced that the LJP (Ram Vilas) would be filing a review petition to contest the judgement. This move underscores the party’s opposition to the sub-categorisation of Scheduled Castes, which Paswan believes could lead to further fragmentation and inequality within the community. His stance highlights the LJP (Ram Vilas)’s commitment to ensuring that the interests of Scheduled Castes are protected and that any policy changes do not inadvertently disadvantage certain segments of this already marginalized group.
