Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin his rallies next week, while Home Minister Amit Shah will release the manifesto on Friday, September 6, and subsequently hold a rally in Jammu on Saturday.

The BJP’s manifesto is likely to highlight the significant changes in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 five years ago, such as reservation benefits and increased tourism. A senior BJP leader noted that while Rahul Gandhi has promised to restore statehood to J&K after elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had already assured the same, stating that statehood would be reinstated once law and order conditions improve and elections are conducted.

The BJP’s manifesto may include commitments to support Kashmiri Pandits, create job opportunities for youth, and empower women, as well as boost tourism. The concept of ‘Naya Kashmir,’ often highlighted by BJP leaders, will emphasize promises of prosperity, peace, and stability. In contrast, the BJP leader criticized the NC and PDP agendas as aiming to revert J&K to a period of violence and terrorism, suggesting they seek to undo recent progress.

BJP’s J&K in-charge Ram Madhav on Wednesday said it will be a “BJP-led government” in J&K and claimed that BJP will emerge as the single-largest party.
