On Friday, November 15, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in honoring the legacy of tribal leader Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary, celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. This annual observance pays tribute to Munda’s role in India’s freedom struggle and his enduring legacy as a symbol of tribal pride and resilience.

President Murmu, joined by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, offered floral tributes at the statue of Birsa Munda at Prerna Sthal, situated within the Parliament complex.
