Due to the passing of his elder sister Rajeshwariben Shah, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called off all his scheduled events in Gujarat, as confirmed by a BJP official.
Amit Shah’s older sister passed away while undergoing treatment at a Mumbai hospital on Monday, as reported by a BJP representative. In response to the demise of Rajeshwariben Shah, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has postponed all his planned activities in Gujarat, the official stated.
Rajeshwariben was in her mid-60s. She was not keeping well for some time and undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai, where she breathed her last in the early hours of Monday, the office-bearer said.

“In light of the demise of his unwell sister, Shah has called off all his scheduled activities for the day. He mentioned that they transported the mortal remains of Rajeshwariben to her residence this morning, and they have scheduled her final rites to take place at the Thaltej crematorium in the afternoon.
Mr Shah, who represents Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, was in Ahmedabad since Sunday to celebrate Makar Sankranti with BJP supporters.
On Monday, he had plans to participate in two events in Banaskantha and Gandhinagar districts.
In Banaskantha, Mr. Shah, who also oversees the Cooperation portfolio, had plans to inaugurate various projects of Banas Dairy at Deodar village.
Later in the day, he was set to inaugurate several developmental projects at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar.
