UP police has increased its monitoring efforts in seven districts of the state in anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22.
The UP police have issued a security alert across all seven districts bordering Nepal and heightened surveillance in preparation for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, set to be conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, according to senior police officials as reported by IANS.
UP Police Have Issued A Security Alert
Authorities mentioned that strict vigilance is being maintained at the border to monitor any suspicious individuals attempting to cross and to prevent smuggling activities.
In addition, law enforcement teams are deploying drones to monitor unconventional routes, ensuring thorough surveillance to detect any unusual movements of people, the officials added.

Previously, the Additional Director General of Police (ADG) for the Gorakhpur Zone, KSP Kumar, visited the Sonauli border to assess security measures in preparation for the upcoming Ram Temple event.
During the visit, the ADG conducted a meeting with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), responsible for guarding the India-Nepal border. Kumar stated, “Joint patrolling by the UP Police and the SSB has been intensified along the Nepal border, covering Bahraich and six other districts that share borders with Nepal.”

Seven Districts In On Alert
A total of seven districts in Uttar Pradesh, namely Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthanagar, and Maharajganj, are situated along the Nepal border.
In preparation for the significant event in the sacred Hindu town, authorities are implementing essential measures to ensure security in the region and the entire state.
Recently, on Wednesday, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) assumed responsibility for the security of the Ayodhya airport, deploying over 150 personnel. A formal induction ceremony took place at the airport, with the CISF squad officially joining the security efforts. The event was attended by representatives from airline operators and various stakeholders, as reported by PTI.
