A new video shows an Air Force officer hitting the alleged attacker in Bengaluru, adding a twist to the case. Police confirmed both parties assaulted each other, indicating it was not one-sided violence as previously suggested. Deputy Commissioner of Police Devraj D stated it was not a Kannadigas vs non-Kannadigas issue. He addressed misleading claims that spread on social media after the video went viral.
Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose posted a video showing injuries on his face and neck while describing the assault incident. The accused in the case has also filed a counter-complaint against the Air Force officer. Bose said a bike stopped their car from behind, and the rider started abusing him in Kannada. He alleged the biker noticed the DRDO sticker and began insulting him and his wife. Bose claimed the biker hit him on the forehead with a key, causing bleeding when he stepped out.

Squadron Leader Madhumita was driving her husband to the airport from DRDO Colony early in the morning. The video of the incident went viral, but the reason for the assault was initially unclear. A new video shows Vikas Kumar and the officer fighting on a Bengaluru pavement. The officer pushed Kumar and grabbed his neck while Madhumita tried to stop the scuffle. Bystanders intervened and spoke to Wing Commander Bose to de-escalate the situation. Kumar called someone after being pushed; Bose then punched him. Kumar fell and kicked Bose, who chased him as locals tried to intervene.
Four CCTV clips surfaced, showing both parties involved in the physical fight. Bose claimed people abused them and one man hit his car window with a stone. The stone hit Bose on the head, he alleged in the video. Madhumita filed a police complaint claiming the biker rode rashly and nearly hit their car. She said she looked at him, after which the biker stopped and began abusing them. When they exited the car, the biker allegedly struck Bose with a stone. The attacker reportedly said, “This is Kannada land; I see the DRDO sticker.” Madhumita said she asked her husband to sit in the car, but he was dragged out. She claimed a mob began hitting them during the altercation.

Officer Questions Police Response, Vows Restraint Amid Rising Tensions
The accused said he was passing by when the woman made a remark, which led to the argument. He claimed he asked the officer, “What is madam saying?” and then a verbal clash followed. DCP said, “We have enough video evidence and will continue the investigation based on it.” In the video, Wing Commander Bose said he was thankful his wife helped him get to the police. He added they went to the police station, but there was no proper response from the officers. “This is the current state of Karnataka; I couldn’t believe the reality,” Bose said in the video. He added, “God help us. May I have strength not to retaliate in such a situation.” He warned that if law and order fail, he might be forced to retaliate in the future.
