Trinamul Congress' Martyrs’ Day rally: Traffic restrictions -

On Friday, a considerable part of central Kolkata will face road closures and traffic restrictions from 4 am to 9 pm due to the Trinamul Congress’ Martyrs’ Day rally. The Kolkata traffic police have issued a warning and informed the public about the traffic regulations on certain roads during this time to avoid expected congestion in the affected areas.

Police advice

A senior officer in the traffic department of Kolkata police said it was advisable to avoid roads through which rallyists are scheduled to proceed. “The idea is to keep the traffic moving through roads through which rallyists are not scheduled to move,” said an assistant commissioner.
