As part of the action initiated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against the Dawood Ibrahim gang. The investigating agency has arrested two associates of gangster Chhota Shakeel. The arrested accused have identified as Arif Abubakar Shaikh (age 59 years) and Shabbir Abubakar Shaikh (age 51).
“Both were involve in the handling of D-Company’s illegal activities and terrorist financing in the western suburbs of Mumbai,” a senior NIA official revealed. According to him, he will be produce in the special NIA court on Friday.
We have already summoned 21 people to tell us about their roles.
The case relates to terrorist/criminal activities of D-Company’s international terrorist network involving Dawood.
He has charged with arms smuggling, narco-terrorism, money laundering and involvement in the circulation of FICN, including unauthorized possession and acquisition of key assets to raise terror funds.
