Karnataka Cop’s Anguish as Son Stranded in Ukraine War Zone

Since learning about the tragic death of a 30-year-old man from Telangana amid the Russia-Ukraine war, Syed Nawaz Ali, a head constable with the Karnataka Police, has been grip with anxiety about the safety of his own son.

Syed Nawaz Ali’s 22-year-old son, Syed Ilyas Hussaini, along with companions Mohammed Sameer Ahmed and Suqain Mohammed, traveled to Russia for job opportunities in Moscow, only to find themselves coerced into fighting in the conflict against Ukraine. Allegedly deceived into working with the Russian army, Hussaini and other Indians in a similar situation are now appealing to the Indian government for assistance in escaping the war zone. Desperate for guidance and fearing for his son’s life, Ali, a head constable at Madbool police station in Kalaburagi district, pleads for support to ensure his son’s safe return.

Distraught Father Appeals to Government for Assistance as Son Goes Missing

Ali, 48, is desperately seeking help from the government after his son, Hussaini, who had been working in Dubai for a few years, went missing in Moscow. According to Ali, Hussaini be lured by a job offer as a security guard with a promise salary of Rs 70,000. Despite returning home in December for a brief stay, Hussaini has been unreachable for the past five days, leaving his family anxious about his well-being. Ali pleads with the government to intervene and locate his son, expressing his concerns and uncertainty about Hussaini’s current status.

Loved Ones Fall Victim to Job Scam in Moscow

Amidst growing concerns, Ali, who has reached out to the deputy commissioner (DC) and local elected representatives, finds himself at a loss in the search for his missing son. In his letter to the DC, Ali reveals that in the last communication, Hussaini express anxiety about post at the border and the potential of be sent to a war zone. Despite his apparent tension, he concealed his worries from his family.

Similarly, the plight extends to Mohammed Samir Ahmed, 23, a diploma dropout who work alongside Hussaini at Dubai airport before being ensnare in the same job scam. Ahmed’s brother, Mustafa, recounts their shared concerns upon Samir’s return home in December. Despite reassurances of a job in Moscow city without troubles, the harsh reality unfolded upon their arrival, leaving the families in a state of distress and uncertainty about the well-being of their loved ones.
