Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash Kills Seven

Authorities confirmed that all seven people aboard a medical evacuation flight lost their lives after the aircraft crashed near Simaria in Chatra district of jharkhand, prompting immediate recovery and investigation efforts. Officials retrieved the bodies and shifted them to Sadar Hospital in Chatra for post-mortem examination while senior administrators monitored rescue operations at the forested crash site. Meanwhile, authorities also arranged counseling support and logistical assistance for grieving families as they coordinated further procedures related to transportation and final rites.

Jharkhand Crash Victims Identified

Police officials identified the deceased as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Dr Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Archana Devi, and Dhuru Kumar. The Beechcraft C90 aircraft, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, was flying from Ranchi to Delhi when it went down shortly after takeoff, and investigators began examining technical, operational, and weather-related factors behind the incident. Officials completed the identification process using available documents and direct coordination with family members, then informed the relatives promptly and initiated the required legal formalities to ensure they hand over the bodies respectfully after completing post-mortem examinations and fulfilling all investigative procedures.

Investigation Teams Dispatched

According to aviation authorities, the aircraft departed Ranchi at 7:11 p.m. and later lost radar and communication contact, which raised concerns before officials located the wreckage deep inside a forest zone. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation confirmed that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau will conduct a detailed probe to determine the exact cause of the crash. Hospital sources revealed that the patient onboard had suffered severe burn injuries and was being transferred to Delhi for advanced treatment when the tragedy occurred. Meanwhile, political leaders expressed grief and extended condolences to the families, as authorities continue technical assessments and coordinate with aviation regulators to establish accountability.
